We are currently recruiting a Sales and Hospitality manager for the Manchester area. The position will be mainly based at The Manchester Museum on Oxford road. However the nature of the job requires flexibility and willingness to work across the three sites currently operating in the North. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role ideally with a strong background in management within the catering and hospitality industry. The ability to work off your own initiative combined with an understanding of the importance of teamwork and its intrinsic nature to the successful running of hospitality is essential. Applicants should display passion and enthusiasm for assisting with this growth and development putting their knowledge of marketing management and control over profit and loss into action to build upon the current success of the venue and help it thrive. In addition to this passion and enthusiasm the role requires a wide range of skills including the ability to operate effectively in high-pressured environments thinking on your feet and problem-solving. Being responsible for the on site team requires delegation skills to be implemented as well as having a hands on approach to ensure customers always receive the high level of service we endeavour to provide. It is necessary for the successful applicant to have solid knowledge and capabilities within back office operations at this level as you will be required to undertake tasks such as target setting planning budgets controlling stock recruiting training and inspiring your team creating and driving marketing campaigns and building bridges with clients and customers. The sucessful applicant will be responsible for helping maximise income generation from conference and banqueting operations for both company and the venue. Liasing with internal and external clients and service providers to ensure the seamless operation of all events is vital to this role.
